Educating hospitalized children requires erstablishing a profession. The educational teams operating in the hospitals participate in about 6 professional training programs each year. The areas covered in the programs enrich their toolbox for working with hospitalized children, and include, among others, trainings in 3D, tablets and robotics.
Training programs for the National Service volunteers are delivered about 4 times a year. Significant emphasis is placed on methods for working with the hospitalized children and their families. In addition to the professional content, which includes operating SASA Setton’s website, managing the Afternoon School and robotics, the volunteers’ training covers social aspects. They also receive professional support from SASA Setton in its capacity of an umbrella organization.
